As one of the great musical thinkers of his time, he strongly influenced his surroundings in Baroque Europe, but only became really famous after he went to Paris for eight months in 1737-1738, where many of his works were printed and presented to the French, noble audience.

During this time, he released, among other things, this little gem collection of 6 canonical duets with three movements each, composed for two violins or two flutes or two bass viols. In all the movements, the second voice is a perfect imitation of the first - delayed by one bar.

Fun bonus fact about Telemann: Telemann was also a great musical influences to J.S. Bach. The most famous of Johann Sebastian's composer sons even received his middle name from his godfather: Carl *Philipp* Emanuel Bach!

With sunny musical greetings from Berlin,
